MISSION STATEMENT

WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUTUP WAY PUBLICATIONS’ purpose is to write and publish Gospel literature from the perspective and standpoint of what Jesus Christ and His original Apostles would be teaching, preaching and practicing if they were here in the flesh in our present day. Following is our mission statement.

The MISSION of Up Way Publications is and forever, until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to catch away His own, shall be to publish the gospel to all the world with those doctrines most clearly aligned with what Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles plus the Apostle Paul did in fact teach, preach and practice according to the Bible record.

Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away,”  (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33). Cultures and locations may change, concepts and nations may change, but Gods word stands sure.

We shall not deviate from those doctrines because of our present evil day, for the Light of the Gospel still shines brightly and God has declared that He changes not. Anything that Jesus condemned as sin in that day is still sin today, regardless of whether that thing is considered politically alright today or not. The same is true for the Apostle Paul, who said that if even he, himself, or an angel from heaven tried to change the doctrines he first preached to let him be accursed. This statement has one of the strongest emphases in the Bible, being repeated in two (2) consecutive verses, Galatians 1:8,9. We know that the only place in which Paul's first teachings are recorded are in the last chapters of the book of Acts following his conversion in Chapter 9. Every doctrinal position he makes in every epistle he wrote is in compliance with those first teachings he gave and every epistle was written to persons or churches which had received his original teachings. Hence, the so-called "Roman Road" to salvation does not really exist. The Plan of Salvation is first given to those who, because of belief in the Gospel message were in position to feel the pricked heart of the conviction of the Holy Spirit and to ask what they must do.

This Plan of Salvation is repeated directly and indirectly many times throughout the book of Acts and explained by the Apostle Paul in places like Romans 6:3,4; Galatians 3:27 and Colossians 2:12. The result of true obedience to the Bible Plan of Salvation is that the obedient believer becomes a "new creature in Christ Jesus," (2 Corinthians 5:17) who has dies to his old sinful nature in the act of sincere repentance (Romans 6:1,2).

The Bible does not at any place nor in any way specify that any doctrine or commandment of God is changed or terminated excepting as provided under the New Covenant through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God to provide for our healing and salvation. There is available to the "new creature in Christ Jesus" a covenant of healing, of power, of peace, of joy, of salvation, of everlasting life. The true Christian life is exciting. We look forward less to walking on streets of gold and having mansions than to seeing and being with our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Who would you rather believe: Jesus Christ and His first Apostles as recorded in the Bible; or former pagan religionists who came into the church later dragging parts of their pagan philosophies and teachings in along with them? As for me and my house, I would rather go back to the teachings of Jesus and His first Apostles as clearly set forth in the Bible!

Although the vast majority of churches that name the name of Christ today are trinitarian, and are therefore cults, regardless of their name, the number of members they are misleading, or how loudly they claim that Oneness Pentecostals are cults. I urge every true student of the Bible to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,” (2 Timothy 2:15). Be like the Bereans “…in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so,” (Acts 17:11).

Never did the original Apostles nor the first church question the truthfulness of Jesus words, “God is a Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth,” (John 4:24). When the Bible clearly states that God is a Spirit, why does man try to make Him a person? Why does man want to know what substance He is of? A Spirit is beyond substance and the limitations of either substance or personhood. In trying to establish that the Holy Spirit is a person, verses are used to show that He has feelings. Of course He has feelings! Where do you think persons get feelings from? From their spirits! And the more closely attuned to the Holy Spirit which is God, the more acutely they have feelings! Heartless killers are heartless precisely because they do not know God and are not indwelt by His Spirit. Well does the song say, “Makes me love everybody, Makes me love everybody!”

Many are the scriptures that say God is One, One Spirit, and Jesus says, “I and the Father are One. and again, “…he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father,” (John 14:9). “If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him,” (John 14:7). Or, as the prophet Isaiah predicted, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace,” (Isaiah 9:6). Clearly, a child that is born does not exist in the sense of being a person until he is conceived in the womb of his mother and brought to birth. Yet after Jesus was born, He became The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, because “For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,” (Colossians 2:9).

This then is our mission: our purpose.

Up Way Publications and Followers of Jesus Christ Ministries operate as an Establishment of Religion under the definition contained in the Bill of Rights Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, Amendment One (1) which reads: "Congress shall make no law regarding an establishment of religion nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof." We therefore do not ask to be tax exempt, since to do so would bring us under the laws regarding non-profit organizations, since Congress was told to make NO LAW regarding an establishment of religion and to ask for exemption would place us also in violation of that Constitutional protection and therefore under the control of the United States Internal Revenue Service. We are NOT a non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. All UP WAY Publications materials are free as the Lord provides, but freewill offerings are accepted. We do not solicit funds, but any given are gladly accepted and will be used specifically as directed by the donor for the purpose of purchasing necessary computer equipment and supplies, paper, printing, postage and shipping, missionary evangelistic trips, or whatever the donor specifies in making the donation. Your gifts help publish more literature and provide for missionary and evangelistic travel wherever the LORD may lead. Receipts from our providers of goods and services will be made available to any donor requesting such, but tax-exempt receipts cannot be given since to do so might be seen as placing us under the Internal Revenue Code and violate our First Amendment rights and responsibilities.
